Anne Slowey

Anne Slowey was named Fashion News Director of Elle magazine in 1998. Prior to joining Elle, Slowey served as the Accessories Editor for W Magazine since 1994. In this position she was responsible for conceiving, writing, styling and editing accessory pages for the magazine, as well as WWD accessory pages. Additionally, she wrote feature stories on designers, celebrities and cultural trends and reviewed restaurants, clubs and events.

Prior to W, Slowey served as a freelance producer for many runway shows and special events at the prominent public relations firm, KCD. Prior to KCD, she worked at Egg magazine in the fashion and beauty marketing department from 1989 through 1990.  Slowey also held the titles of Director of Creative Communications at Ultima II, Revlon, Associate Beauty Editor at Vogue and Public Relations Coordinator at Prescriptives. Slowey holds a master's degree in journalism from New York University and a bachelor's degree in history from Notre Dame.

She currently resides in New York.
